At this year‘s European Hydrogen Week, Hydrogen Europe’s CEO Jorgo Chatzimarkakis (picture right) and H2UB CEO Uwe Kerkmann (picture left) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to foster mutual support, promote common interests and pursue projects that benefit to both parties and the wider hydrogen and start-up community.
Uwe Kerkmann, CEO of H2UB, shares his enthusiasm for the partnership: “The innovative power of the European start-up scene is – perhaps now more than ever – important for a successful ramp-up of the hydrogen economy. We are very pleased that our cooperation with Hydrogen Europea has now been sealed. We will continue to organise an exclusive start-up area at the Hydrogen Week in Brussels and look forward to developing further areas of cooperation.“
Jorgo Chatzimarkakis, CEO of Hydrogen Europe, emphasizes the importance of this cooperation, saying, „The EU Hydrogen Week provided a unique platform to spotlight Hydrogen Europe and H2UB collaboration and growth efforts, including the start-up area, where innovative ideas and commercialisation pathways could come to life. Together, we are not just supporting start-ups but driving forward the solutions that will position Europe as a global leader in the clean hydrogen transition.”
This strategic partnership aims to develop joint initiatives for the benefit of start-ups and to strengthen the hydrogen landscape across Europe. It also underlines the commitment of both parties to promote an innovative and diverse hydrogen economy.
We have already saved the date for European Hydrogen Week 2025, which will take place in Brussels from 29 September to 3 October.
See you next year and stay tuned for more exciting projects we are planning with Hydrogen Europe!
